Newest member welcome - Gina McNeill

Welcome to EldersBloom's newest member!

Gina McNeill joins us from Bend, Oregon. A Level II Reiki practitioner, she found EldersBloom on VolunteerMatch.com, while looking for organizations as part of her grantwriting class assignment(!). She is full of enthusiasm and energy, so I flooded her with information about EldersBloom's fundraising possibilities.

Here's her self-introduction:

"Hello, I am very happy to be connecting with this wonderful cause. I believe in the vision of Eldersbloom and hope to be part of its blossoming across the nation. I have been a level II practitioner for nearly six years and a yoga practitioner for over thirty years. Namaste."

Thank you, Gina, for the energy you bring!

Re-awakening

Hi there! Time to re-awaken this blog. The 2009 EldersBloom annual report has just been completed, and is available on www.eldersbloom.org, right in the middle of the webpage. Take a look, there's an easy-to-read executive summary.

For a start, I'm hoping to use this blog for transparency, planning and outreach. Some possible topics are:

  • news on events and plans
  • thoughts on principles and ethics of elder Reiki practice
  • alerts about related projects
  • links to credible research on Reiki benefits for elders
  • anecdotes - yours and mine
Anything else you'd like to see? Want to help? Let me know!

Thank you and Blessings,
Jeffrey
